At AvaTrade, we are striving to make our site and applications more accessible.
Here are various options on how to make it easier to use our services according to your accessibility needs.

The AvaTrade Website

You can configure the content on our website to make it more readable by using the many features available to tailor the text and images to your particular needs:

Such examples are:

  • Vision Impaired: enhances our websites’s visuals.
  • Blind Users (Screen reader): lets you read our website with your screen reader.
  • Keyboard Navigation (Motor): provides access to our website with the keyboard.

The below are options that may be used to assist your accessibility requirements:

  • Zoom Function:
    • MacMost browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, etc.) allow you to increase or decrease the size of all content on a webpage, including text, images, and other elements, using zoom.
    • Windows and Linux: Press Ctrl + + to zoom in and Ctrl + – to zoom out.
    • Mac: Press Command + + to zoom in and Command + – to zoom out.
    • To reset to the default zoom level, press Ctrl + 0 (or Command + 0 on Mac).
  • Zoom Text Only:
    • Some browsers offer the option to zoom only the text size, leaving other elements at their original size.
    • For example, in Firefox, you can access this option by pressing the Alt key to temporarily bring up the menu, then navigating to View > Zoom > Zoom Text Only.
  • Browser Settings:
    • You can also adjust font sizes in your browser’s settings. For example, in Chrome, you can go to Settings > Appearance > Customize fonts to adjust fonts globally.
    • You can also manage zoom levels for specific sites in Chrome’s settings under Privacy and security > Site settings > Zoom levels.
  • Keyboard Shortcuts:
    • Most browsers support keyboard shortcuts for zooming in and out.
    • Windows/Linux: Ctrl + + to zoom in, Ctrl + – to zoom out.
    • Mac: Command + + to zoom in, Command + – to zoom out.

By using these methods, you can easily adjust the font size on webpages to improve visual readability and customize your browsing experience.

Mobile App Settings

AvaTrade offers a few features that may improve your experience when using the app:

  • Face ID for logging in securely and easily
  • One-click investing for simpler order execution
  • Selecting your default screen after login for easier access

iOS

Apple offers many accessibility features for users of their iOS mobile operating system, including:

MetaTrader Platform

MetaTrader accessibility settings focus on making the platform usable for individuals with disabilities. These settings primarily adjust visual aspects like text size, color schemes, and magnification, and can be accessed within the platform’s settings menu. MetaTrader also offers options for customizing chart appearance, including colors and visual elements, to improve clarity and readability. 

Visual Adjustments:

  • Text Size:

MetaTrader allows users to adjust the text size within the platform’s interface, including the universal menu and other supported applications. 

  • Colour Schemes:

Users can customize the colour scheme of charts and other visual elements to enhance contrast and visibility. 

  • Magnification:

The platform may offer options for magnifying specific areas of the chart or interface for users who need visual assistance. 

Other Accessibility Features to enhance your user experience:

  • Chart Customization:

MetaTrader provides tools for customizing charts, such as adding trend lines, Fibonacci retracements, and other drawing tools, which can help users analyze and interpret market data more effectively. 

  • Auto-Scrolling:

The platform offers an auto-scroll feature that can be enabled or disabled to automatically adjust the chart view. 

  • Depth of Market (DOM):

MetaTrader 5’s DOM can be linked to an active chart, allowing users to synchronize the chart view with the DOM’s displayed information. 

  • Interface Customization:

Users can customize the interface by adding or removing elements like the spread display in the DOM. 

  • Keyboard Navigation:

MetaTrader supports keyboard navigation, allowing users to interact with the platform using keyboard shortcuts. 

  • Alt Text for Images:

While MetaTrader primarily deals with numerical and graphical data, some versions may offer alt text options for images or other visual elements. 

How to Access and Adjust Settings:

  • MetaTrader 4 (MT4):

Open the platform, navigate to the “Tools” menu, and select “Options”. Then, go to the “Chart” tab to adjust visual settings or customize chart elements. 

  • MetaTrader 5 (MT5):

Open the platform, navigate to the “View” menu, and select “Objects” or “Chart” to adjust visual settings or customize chart elements. 

Note: Specific accessibility features and settings may vary slightly between MT4 and MT5.
